Alexandria Halmbacher serves as the Assistant Vice President of Strategy and Bank Performance in the Executive Office at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. She oversees strategic planning and performance management, collaborating closely with senior and functional leaders to drive key projects and initiatives for the executive office.

Ms. Halmbacher joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland in 2018 and has served in various roles within the external engagement, strategic programs, and strategy and Bank performance departments. Prior to joining the Cleveland Fed, Ms. Halmbacher served as the manager of education products at the Ohio History Connection where she oversaw the development of several curriculum-based projects and professional development programs. Ms. Halmbacher also spent time working in Joya de Cerén, El Salvador on behalf of the University of Colorado at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Cerén as a field archaeologist.

Ms. Halmbacher serves on the board of the Spanish American Committee in the role of secretary and holds leadership positions on the personnel and workforce committees. She also serves on the Cleveland Leadership Center’s Leadership Advisory Council.

Ms. Halmbacher has a BA in Anthropology from the University of Cincinnati and an MA in Anthropology from the University of Colorado. She holds a Graduate Teaching Certificate from the University of Colorado and a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Change Management from Cleveland State University. She also holds Certificates in Strategic Management Performance Systems and Strategic Foresight from George Washington University’s Center for Excellence in Public Leadership. She is member of the International Association of Strategy Professionals and a graduate of the Cleveland Leadership Center’s Bridge Builders Program.
