Alexandria Halmbacher joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland in 2018. While at the Cleveland Fed she has held positions in Corporate Communications and Engagement and the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Opportunity. She currently serves as a Senior Strategy Specialist in the Strategy and Bank Performance department. Ms. Halmbacher is a member of the Bank’s FedTalk planning team, which organizes monthly community discussions, and a founder of the Cleveland FedAmbassador Program, which equips employees with a better understanding of the Federal Reserve System.

In addition, Ms. Halmbacher co-chairs the Bank’s Women in Leadership and Development Resource Network Group and serves on the Bank’s internal Diversity Council. She also serves on the Board of the Kentucky Economics Association as the Program Director and co-chair of the undergraduate committee. Since graduating the Cleveland Bridge Builders Program in 2022, Ms. Halmbacher has served on the Cleveland Leadership Center Leadership Advisory Council. She also participates in Cleveland State University’s mentorship program through the Center for Public and Nonprofit Management. 

Ms. Halmbacher holds a BA in anthropology from the University of Cincinnati and an MA in anthropology and a graduate certificate in teaching from the University of Colorado. She also holds a graduate certificate in organizational change management from Cleveland State University.
