Dana Capers serves as vice president, community and economic development manager. She is responsible for developing community development strategies, delivering on the Bank’s community commitment and managing community partnerships.

She joined the Bank in October 2021 with extensive experience in community development. Prior to joining Fifth Third, Dana worked for Huntington Bank where she managed the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)/Fair Lending program to ensure regulatory compliance serving as the primary liaison to government officials, community leaders, and nonprofit organizations. While in this role, she also developed and implemented a multi-level community investment strategy to reach business and civic objectives.

Most recently, she worked at Hathaway Brown School, as the director of alumnae relations. In this role, she developed and implemented a comprehensive program to increase engagement of more than 4,000 alumnae. She also managed internal and external partnerships, volunteerism and communication strategies that assisted in advancing the school’s mission.

Education

Dana attended Ohio University for her undergraduate studies where she obtained her degree in Communications and Cleveland State University for her M.S. in Urban Studies.

Dana is a member of The Links, Incorporated, Western Reserve (OH) Chapter and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
