Highlights of Our 2023 Back to School Fair

We at the Spanish American Committee are excited to report that our 2023 Back to School Fair held on August 11th-12th was a rousing success! Below are just some of the highlights of this special event.

How many families attended?

A total of 77 families attended our Back to School Fair - what a turnout!

How many backpacks did you distribute?

We distributed 186 backpacks full of school supplies to students, exceeding our goal of 150!

Who sponsored the Back to School Fair?

A huge thank you goes out to Molina Healthcare and Third Federal Bank for donating a total of $2,500 towards our Back to School Fair. We couldn’t have done it without you! We also want to thank Cleveland Playhouse for hosting a fun craft table!

Were there any notable experiences you can share?

Yes! We were incredibly grateful to have a student volunteer who supported our event by helping pack the backpacks. Packing 186 backpacks with various school supplies was no small task - thank you very much for your diligent and willing spirit!

Our Goal for the 2024 Back to School Fair

Since we already exceeded our goal of distributing 150 backpacks, next year we look forward to setting a higher goal to serve even more families in our community.
