Families First Success Story

Eduardo has been a client for many years and faced many challenges, including homelessness, losing all his belongings, and being unable to apply for public assistance because he did not have an official form of ID in his possession. By working with our social services staff, he was able to reconnect with his family in Puerto Rico, and they were able to assist him in obtaining his birth certificate with the collaboration of an IDCC voucher (ID Crisis Collaborative) to apply for his state ID. Over the next few months, Eduardo was able to obtain additional necessary documentation to apply for public assistance, including housing!
